  Planes :
  If you plan on visiting Buenos Aires you will fly into the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE)

Domestic flights depart from the Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) located in the north of the city centre opposite the River Plate Coast.


  Train:
There are no international services to Argentina.
The main stattions serving Buenos Aires are: Constitución, Federico Lacroze, 11 de septiembre (known simply as Once) and retiro.
Retiro Station: located in the city centre . Trains from here connect the nothern suberbs to the city centre.
Constitución Station: located 5 minute ride from the city centre. These trains connect the southern suberbs to the city and also they leave to the Atlantic Coast and Patagonia.
Once Station: Trains to the west suberbs.
Federico Lacroce Station: located 20 minute ride from the city centre these trains connect the northern-east suberbs to the city.

Coaches:
The coach terminal is located nearby Retiro railway station at 1680 Ramos Mejía Av (telephone number 4310-0700). Coaches to all destinations leave from here.

Taxis and remises (licensed minicabs)
As in all big cities taxies are a “comfortable”way to go round the city. We recommend you to call aradio taxi or a remis from your lodging.
 
 

  Currency:
The official Argentine currency is the peso.There are $2, $5, $10, $20,$50, $100 notes. There are also $1,$0,50, $0,25, $0,10, $0,05 coins.

  Language:
The official language is Spanish.

  Government:
Constitution: 1 May 1853; revised August 1994
Administrative divisions: 23 provinces.
The Government is divided into three branches: Legislative, Executive and Judicial. The Argentine President is the chief of State who is helped by a ministry cabinet.
The National Congress is bicammeral ; the senate and the deputy.
Administartive branch: Argentine is divided into 23 provinces, the independent city of Buenos Aieres, the antarctic area climed by Argentina and various islands in the South Atlantic aand Tierra del Fuego which is now an independent pronince.
 
 

 

Population:
Approximately 85% of the population is of european origin.Unlike the majority of Latin American countries, Argentina has relatively few mestizos (people of mixed european and indian origin), though the number has increased in the recent years. Oficially the country still incourages european inmigration.Between 1850 and 1940 6.608.700 europeans, predominantely of spanish and italian origin arrived to Argentina.French, British, germans, Russians, Polish and Syrians and from other south american countries did also arrrive to our country in big numbers. More than 1/3 of the population live in Buenos Aires and its sourraundings. 85% of the population live in urban areas. Demographic characteristics: In 2001 the estimated population was 36.000.0000 inhabitants, with adensity of 13 inhabitants /km2 approximately.

 
 

  Religion:
Roman Catholic 92%, Protestant 2%, Jewish 2%, other 4%
Until the constitutional reform of 1984 the presidents and vice president had to be Catholics.
