and departure by National Route Nr 234 from San Martín de
Los Andes and Provincial Route Nr 61, going in north-west direction
of Chimehuín river (in Mapuche language “place where
the great cat lives”) which runs on the right. Afterwards,
we will arrive at the east end of Huehulafquen Lake, the gateway
to Lanín National Park, where Chimehuín river starts.
It is a major attraction internationally known as one of the most
famous fishing spots of the Patagonia. At this place, Cañicul
and Raquitué Mapuche Communities.
