Moreno Glacier Excursion (Traditional) |
After
breakfast, we will go to Los Glaciares National Park by Route Nr
11 with a guide. We will skirt the main body of Argentino Lake and
we will go to Brazo Rico. We will stop at National Park to pay for
admission and once inside the park we will go on to “Curva
de los Suspiros”, where we will get off the vehicle to have
a first view of Perito Moreno Glacier. Later, we will stop at the
Bajo Las Sombras Pier so that those people who are ready to sail
can get near the Glacier’s southern wall (optional.) Then,
we will go to the front catwalks of the glacier, and we will watch
it from different balconies and enjoy our free time to appreciate
its various detachments. Return to El Calafate. |

| Minitrekking
Excursion |
After
breakfast, we will go to Los Glaciares National Park by Route Nr
11. At the entrance, we will pay for admission. We will go on by
bus to Bajo Las Sombras Pier, where we will get on a small boat
to cross Brazo Rico. On the opposite coast, we will meet the excursion
guides. After a 20-minute walk by the woods, the guides will put
us crampons to walk on the ice for about two hours. Afterwards,
we will delight a whisky toast with ice from the glacier. Back on
the coast we will cross by boat towards the pier and we will move
without guide to the catwalks of the glacier, where we will stay
for about 45 minutes. Return to Calafate.
NOTE:
if you pay for the traditional excursion and later you once in the
place you decide to change it for the minitrekking one, as they
are offered by different servers, no value can be possibly acknowledged,
thus the excursion you paid for will have no devolution. |

| Upsala

| After
breakfast we will go to Los Glaciares National Park by Route Nr
11. We will skirt the main body of Argentino Lake to Banderas Port,
where, after paying for admission, we will get on a modern catamaran
to sail Brazo Norte and Brazo Upsala among icebergs towards the
glacier with the same name. We will go on to Onelli Bay to land
and after a walk through the woods we will appreciate Onelli Lake
as well as Onelli , Bolados and Agassiz Glaciers. Return to port
and then to El Calafate. Depending on the time of the year, Spegazzini
Glacier is visited. |

| After
Breakfast, we will go to Punta Bandera Port by Route Nr 11, where,
after paying for admission to National Park, we will get on a ship
to sail Brazo Norte and Brazo Upsala among icebergs towards the
Glacier with the same name. The crossing goes on along Brazo Cristina
to land on Estancia Cristina, a unique place to perform adventure
activities. At this point, the group will be split according to
the chosen activity. Have a look at the animation to know about
the alternatives. Return to port by ship and then to El Calafate
by land. |

Ride through Redonda Bay zone, where a wide variety of birds can
be observed (flamingoes, black-necked swans, cauquenes, ducks).
Panoramic views of the town, Argentino Lake and surrounding mountains.
It includes moving from the hotel and “mate” and “torta
fritas” service. Duration: 2 hour. Several daily departures.
Long Horse riding
Ride along the coast of Argentino
Lake. Return with panoramic views of town, Nimes lagoon and surrounding
mountains. Duration: 6 hours. It includes transfer from and to
the hotel and “pic-nic” service. Departure: 11 am.

Anita Ravines
(Long Drive)
At 38 km from El Calafate, we will get into Estancia Anita’s
field, where we will start going up the ravines, we will be able
to watch the valley of Argentino Lake, Brazo Rico, Brazo Sur,
Estancia Anita, Hostería Altavista, Estancia Alice, Cerro
Buenos Aires, Cerro Pietrobelli and Cerro Cervantes. We will go
down by the Chorillo Malo canyon, relishing an overwhelming view
of Perito Moreno Glacier, Roca Lake, Brazo Rico and Brazo Sur,
arriving at the Estancia Chorrillo Malo, where we will see rupestrian
paintings located nearby the “casco”. Return to Calafate.
Duration: 6 hours.
El Calafate
Balcony (Short Drive)
Whole Drive: 15Km.
Departing from El Calafate, we will drive up to 1100 metres above
sea level. Along this side of Cordón Huyliche, we will
arrive at the balcony where we will enjoy a panoramic view of
Argentino Lake, El Calafate, Cerro Chalten, Cerro Torre, reaching
stone labyrinth in Estancia Anita, an 85-millon-year cretaceous
formation. Afterwards, we will go down to Stone of Hats. Return
to Calafate. Duration: 3 hours.

Bus tour through
the historical area of El Calafate, different neighbourhoods and
panoramic spots. We will also visit the Historical Interpretation
Centre, a small museum, to learn about the main events of the
zone. Duration: 3 hours. Departures in the morning and in the
afternoon.

Roca Excursion |
Departure in the
morning towards Estancia Anita and tour around its facilities.
Getting back to our way and after a short walk, we will arrive
at a stone eave to learn about some theories about the pictures
seen there. We will then go on towards Estancia Nibepo Aike, located
by Argentino Lake’s Southern branch. We will stop for a
walk or a horse riding in the area and to delight a typical dish
in the estancia (optional). The return starts at 4 o’ clock
p.m. to arrive in El Calafate at aproximately 5.30 p.m..
